Welcome back to another episode of Quantum Growth for Financial Advisors.

We’ve been getting fantastic feedback on our solo episodes with Jon, so we’re keeping that momentum going for today’s episode!

This week, Jon builds on insights from our previous 10x episode, going deeper into how to think critically about applying 10x principles inside your own business. He explains why aligning self-leadership with the ability to lead others is the single biggest opportunity most firms have to move beyond incremental 2x growth and into true scale.

Jon revisits the three phases of business growth—first mastering sales, then pushing through grit, and ultimately building repeatable, “paint-by-numbers” processes that unlock leverage. Whether that leverage comes from capital, technology, or people, the message is clear: sustainable scale through people requires leaders who know how to develop other leaders.

He also diagnoses a common constraint he sees repeatedly, even in eight and nine-figure businesses: leaders tend to default to safe 2x activities because they lack either the skill or the discipline to set and pursue stretch KPIs.

To counter this in his own organization, Jon shares the operating rhythm he’s put in place—weekly thinking days, quarterly full-day sessions with his 13 leaders to define leading indicators and execution plans, and consistent follow-up designed to cascade 10x thinking across more than 120 direct reports and roughly 130 team members overall.

He closes with a challenge to make strategic thinking a non-negotiable habit—and to intentionally shift time, energy, and focus away from incremental work and toward the few actions that truly drive 10x growth.
